On 14 November 2022, Swiss-based coatmaster AG will release an important software update for the Advanced Thermal Optics-based handheld device for non-contact coating thickness measurement.
The software update enables a measuring process that is three times faster than its predecessor, so that measurements can be performed on moving powder coated parts every few seconds. This significantly reduces the time employees spend on measurements. At the same time, the repeatability of measurements has been improved. Statistically, the deviation in measurements at the same spots is now less than one percent.
Applications which are used particularly frequently can now be assigned as favorites, which simplifies the use of the measuring gauge enormously. In addition, the order of the applications can be individually adjusted via the browser interface. This provides clarity when there are many applications. A quick calibration now makes it particularly easy to create new applications with no more than three clicks. In addition, a multitude of improvements and enhancements have been incorporated into the software, which make daily work with the coatmaster Flex even more easy.
