As a Service Technician (80-100%), you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers worldwide by ensuring reliable installation, maintenance, training, and troubleshooting of our state-of-the-art measuring systems. With a strong focus on service quality, flexibility, and technical expertise, you will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and to coatmaster’s success across industries. Location: based in a region with convenient access to Winterthur (e.g., central or eastern Switzerland, southern Germany).
Your profile
- Completed technical education (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, automation, or similar)
- Work experience in service or customer service field in an industrial environment, ideally in the coating, surface treatment, or industrial automation sectors
- Hands-on mindset with a structured and precise working style
- Ability to improvise and find solutions in challenging situations
- Commitment to service excellence with flexibility and resilience
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with regional service partners
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across Sales, Service, and R&D teams
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude
- Hands-on work experience with PLCs desired
- Fluent English language skills, additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 70%)
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
Your tasks
- Commissioning of coatmaster systems at customer sites worldwide
Preventive and corrective maintenance of systems (on-site and remote) - Calibrations and repairs, in-house in Winterthur, Gottmadingen (DE) and on-site
- Customer training and demonstrations on site and online
- Testing new product applications, qualification and development
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving in close collaboration with customers and our internal teams
- Participation in integration projects and continuous improvement of service processes
- Testing, programming, and optimizing PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Beckhoff)
